2010 Singlespeed Worlds...entries To Close Soon...

Postby Melissa_Theuriau on Mon 15/Mar/10 10:56am

Just under four months from opening on New Year's Eve and with seven months to go till race week, entries for New Zealanders in this year's Singlespeed World Championships in Rotorua are just days away from closing.
The limit has almost been reached.

Join a bunch of great folk from all round the world and all over New Zealand at the biggest MTB event to hit Rotorua since Worlds 06.
There is no qualification except a one-cog bike and a sense of humour.
It'll be a sharp at the sharp end but out the back it's just a barrel of laughs...
And get the chance to see top XC riders and national champions like Kashi Leuchs, Tim Wilding, Mike Northcott and Stu Houltham in really silly costumes...

It's not all about the bike...it's actually about the beer!
The race is the finale of a week-long festival - a celebration of cycling and the spirit of singlespeeding.
Enter now at http://www.sswc10nz.com
presented by Kiwibikes and other great local partners
like Agroventures, Pig & Whistle, Event & Venues Rotorua and Speight's Traverse...

Not according to the e-mails they've been sending, sounds like a few race entries left, but heaps of party animal tickets

Oh yeah - sorry, folks.
Entries for race are almost full. PA's will stay open till party venue is up to it's limit.
It's a good way to enjoy the event if your partner and friends etc are racing but you don't want to.
Also - had a question from overseas asking if spectators would have to pay to watch the race. Definitely not - the more the better!

And don't forget the Queenstown MTB Club is running the NZ Singlespeed Champs on April 24 on their dream course - which really sounds like a fantastic slice of central Otago high country and MTB heaven!
The tattoo'ed champions will get entry into SSWC10 (if they haven't entered already - in which case the entry(ies) will probably go to the best-dressed or something).

Sunday 3.30 and there are just 6 places left for Kiwis on the start line for 2010 SSWC!
Probably hours - rather than days - away from being full which is fantastic.
PA's still open for a while yet.

Official - entries are now closed for Kiwis - Oli from Wellington was last in.
Party Animals and Internationals still open - at least for now...
