Hi,
did anyone else see the Avanti full suspension test bikes at Rotovegas yesterday? I saw what looked like a 5" travel with a vertical shock.

Pretty sure they'll be released for the 2011 season - a 4" travel XC rig, a 5" travel trail bike, and no doubt the usual hardtails etc. They were also looking at doing a high end 29er, but not sure if that eventuated.

The Pitch isn't a bad bike at all. Hope they don't cheap out the spec on it to keep Scott as their "premium" brand.

didn't get a ride on them but my boss' did, apparently the 100mm bike (vapor) is quite a capable racer, high end coming in at 11.5 kg and feels lighter to ride than a spark 20.

the 140 bike (torrent) is well spec'd too with qr 15 and tapered headtube etc, and both run a onepiece link and instant center style geo (like an elsworth) to their sus.

there is also a full carbon competitor 29er which looks HOT

torrent 3 is x9/x0 2x10, easton haven wheels, fox rp23 and 32 rlc. easton haven bar/stem/post too

Yeah i have heard GREAT things about the Vapour!!, and the Torrent too for that matter. Have spoken to the people that have been testing them over the past few months,as well as avanti staff that have been testing them in rotovegas the last few days . I would say shops will have pricing and spec details in store by the end of the week after the show in Rotovegas that finished Wednesday?

Cant say i have heard of high end 29er but if they can nail it like what they have done with the competitor range, I may went myself with excitement

Just went on the Avanti Website. If you go into th bike compare screen, there are listings for 3 different models of 29er competitors, torrents and vapours.... no sepcs or pics up yet. Obviously going to be up pretty soon

So they have re-released the ADX range then?

Yup, got to test the Torrent and I must say its a great looking, and riding bike.
Many people surprised by how good the Vapour was, unfortunately I didnt ride it. Prices will range from just under $3K to just over $6K, so a bike at a pricepoint for most xc/trail/am riders.

And the 29 Competitor? Holy crap a jizz-tastic looking bike

agreed, have seen them in the catalouge today. competitor 29 casued some jaw dropping. bikes look awsome!

is that what was in one of the recent articles of NZMTBR mag, 'scoop' with no labels on it?? i wondered if it was a secret Avanti at the time, and i also thought it looked a bit Specialized...

on SPOKE magazine's facebook thingy they posted a pic a month or two... I commented "Avanti?" And it got deleted Way to make it obvious.
