2009 Makara Peak Grand Loop Challenge

Back again for the 2nd year running is the Makara Peak Grand Loop Challenge.

How fast can you ride the Grand Loop at Makara Peak? Come along on Monday 16th March and find out!

You will be timed from the shelter at the car park to the top and then back down again, fastest rider becomes the Makara Peak Grand Loop Champion for 2009!!

Tracks used are Koru, Sally Alley, Missing Link, Aratihi, Ridgeline, Ridgeline Extension, Big Toms, SWIGG, Starfish.

Registration from 6pm with racing starting 6:30pm.

Entry is $5 with all proceeds going to Makara Peak Supporters.

Will be spot prizes too!!

Last year times ranged from around 40 minutes to just over an hour, If you are thinking you might be quite a bit longer than that it might start to get dark under the trees through Swigg/Starfish, if you are not comfortable riding with fading light, bring a light with you.

Seriously though - gutted I'm not in Welly for this - was awesome last year...
