2008 University Games

Here's a bit of info for you guys:

This year the games are in Rotorua from the 14th-17th April with the bike related events being:
BMX (tuesday)
100k road race (tues)
Downhill (wed)
Cross-Country (thurs)

The price is $350 per person including transport, accomidation, events and team uniforms. (will try find out about price without transport and post it up)

I've done the uni games twice now and it's definitly worth going to. So let me know if you're interested and i'll add you to the mailing list and we'll try get a big team together!

Just got this e-mail from the uni-games co-ordinator:

A non-refundable deposit of $150 is due by WEDNESDAY 26th MARCH and then final payments are due by MONDAY 9th APRIL. The total cost of the Games is $350 and that includes: Accommodation, Transport, Registration, Team Uniform, and transport around Rotorua. If some of your team members want to make their own way down to Rotorua the cost will be reduced to $290 and if they don't want Accommodation but want transport it will be $270. If they want to get their own way down to Rotorua and also have thier own Accommodation down there then the cost will be $170.

Sounds like a week of fun. Lots of Riding, bit of Drinking. Or is it the other way round

im keen as, i signed up some where but havent heard any thing since. road race looks pretty mint, any one know how far the cross country for the mtb is for the girls?

sorry your email might have gotten lost amongst all the other stuff ive been reading lately, if you send the club another email ill definatly add you to the mailing list. the girls race will probably be btween 1h30 and 2h, it varies a bit depending on the course, should be an awesome course this year in rotorua. would be good to have some other girls there, otherwise ill be stuck with heaps of smelly boys
