And Julz should have finished 9th in the points competition.

OF course the NZ media will only report his final GC place.

Congrats on finishing your fourth and best ever Tour.
I agree Tugboat. All except for the not bad comment with his finishes.
The good result was the 4th. The rest sprinting wise is consistent mediocrity.
The other good stage was the one with Ryder H. came in second. Perfect riding on his behalf.
I was right in saying a lack of HP and top end speed. Apart from those things he has had a great tour.
Not trying to put a downer on it at all. My opinion once again which means F**k all.

All that said anyone who finishes a tour is a great cyclist and should be congratulated.

What is it with cyclists having bum chins... Steegmans has got one to rival Evans?

Yay for Oscarito winning the maillot vert. :) It's almost unbelievable that it's his first but he's had so much bad luck in the past.

Oli wrote: Good to see Julian Dean for a second. I know Istepinyards will disagree with me, but I'd like to congratulate him on finishing and on riding a great tour.

Several top 10 finishes including a NZ individual best 4th place, along with some great teamwork, show me what a class act he is. Chapeau, Julz.
I don't disagree at all OLI. True statement.

Yeah, great tour and for me, the right man won. Good to see only the three positive tests (so far) as well - shows we're headed in the right direction. I'll be a flag-waving kiwi on the side of some HC monster next year!

4 tests:-(

Hopefully three Kiwis on the start line!

They gave time splits in the bunch so Cadel picked up 7 seconds. A bit crap really.

Steegmans was the lead-out man that Boonen failed to get over the top of last year wasn't he?

Yep... quite nice to not have a clear favourite with a big gun team backing him. Makes for interesting viewing!
